Application Integration

Leverage existing data. Match, relate and filter standard or custom records and fields. Seamlessly.

Application integration targets leveraging existing data: matching records and fields with phone numbers, to support in-context screen-pops and analytics, on one hand; and finding phone numbers from names, to support directory lookups, on the other.

Tuning matches, relating records, extracting fields and supporting the underlying technologies is the job of the application connectors. Configured from scratch or used along with pre-existing application kits, they support most existing applications.

  • All application kits support open ended customization including, but not restricted to, using any other existing/custom record types or fields, adjusting which fields contain phone numbers to match and how flexible/strict such matching should be and much more.
  • Application kits include a sample set of fully customizatble server rules and templates to get solutions started quickly.
  • Most application kits support both cloud-based and on-premises integration depending, naturally, on the type of application.

Custom Integration


Integrating Promptar with applications for which no application kit is available can be easily done in one of the following scenarios.

Relational Databases

If your application is built on top of a relational database, URC is your solution. With this connector Promptar can query your SQL database, match and relate records and extract any appropriate columns. With support for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite and others, via ODBC, URC handles the wide majority of existing database systems.

HTTP based interfaces

If your application supports an HTTP based API, the REST connector is your solution. With this connector Promptar can produce and process a wide range of HTTP requests and responses; not only appropriate for REST-like interfaces, but also handling XML-RPC, SOAP and similar technologies with JSON or XML payloads.

Whichever the case, configuring and modeling the Promptar application connector from scratch is an open ended integration channel that empowers you to fine tune the integration down to very specific details.
